Beyond the Veil: Chronicles from Ether to Earth

The Needed Unity Between Science & Spirituality

One of the things that society as a whole still has trouble accepting, is the notion that Science and Spirituality go hand and hand with each other.  Over the years I have met many different types of people, some of which were traditionally religious, while others put their faith solely in science and technology.  I have always considered this a curious trait among varying percentages of a given population.

Before I briefly go into details about a couple of my experiences, I want mention that I follow the what is known as the “Law of Freewill”.  We reside in what is considered a Freewill universe, meaning that everything is allowable and because of this many lessons are learned.  Earth has a fascinating  history that touches on the concept of freewill, and I will talk about our “hidden history” another night.  In its most simplistic form the Law Of Freewill states that everyone has the right to experience what they want to experience, and if you infringe on another person’s free will you run the risk of generating karma.

This may seem a little complex, and it can be especially if you’re not used to thinking about this type of stuff.  Since I follow the law of freewill I will never attempt to convince anyone of anything, nor will I attempt to prove anything to them.  What I write here are my own opinions and experiences, if someone happens to get a benefit from them then that’s great :).  If not, that’s ok too.

I have come across many traditionally religious individuals over the years, and most of them are not as  traditional as they believe they are.  Many are open minded and actually are to the point where they can hold a conversation in metaphysics, mysticism, and other belief systems. They also believe in scientific breakthroughs and concepts.  However, every now and again I’ve come across a fundamentalist here and there.  Usually these type of individuals, are very close minded when it comes to anything outside to their own personal religious beliefs.  They tend to reject science completely, and I have heard people speak on the television as well as radio that everything science related is the work of the “Devil”.  That’s all fine and good, as I said freewill must be honored and that’s the path they decided to take.  It is important to love and respect them as human beings even if you don’t agree with what they believe because we are all in this together, and only though unity and unconditional love will we make the transition to universal citizenship and join the rest of the galaxy.

On the other side of the coin, I have met some serious self proclaimed “Atheists” who think that anyone who believes  in a higher power or has a spiritual  bone in there body are unintelligent, equate their beliefs to believing in a flying spaghetti monster.  Again if someone whats to have that mindset that they can.  Personally I believe there really is no such thing as an atheist.  Atheism  came about as a rebellion towards the church after centuries of conflict, much of which religion played a role in.

What I’m going to suggest is we need to bridge the gap between spirituality and science.  The two really speak about the same topics but they use different words to describe them.  For example, the planes of existence  talked about Buddhism are the same exact thing as realities described in  string theory and quantum physics.

According to  Wikipedia, there are over 41,000 denominations of Christianity alone.  Yet there are people who still believe that denomination that they are part of is the “saved group” or they are part of the “true believers”.  This type of thinking has not gotten us very far, and has been the source of conflict in the past.  The same can be said for the other religions, not just Christianity.  After 1000’s of years of fighting of belief system It may be time to sit down and reflect on what the great spiritual teachers from all the belief systems were trying to tell us.  When humanity can stand as a whole, and not be divided by  trivial problems we will understand our connection to the divine.

As for the hardcore atheists, anyone who truly understands quantum mechanics will tell you that when you die your consciousness goes on, it’s the body that dies, not the consciousness.

I suspect that when we reach a point were our science and technology are backed by spiritual understanding we will do great things, and we still truly understand how we are connected to the rest of the universe and more.   We are on the verge of something wonderful, and the challenges we face now are the result of our collective subconscious  not wanting to make the tough decisions.  We want all our problems to go away without us having to change our behavior.

Isn’t that the a definition of  insanity, to keep repeating the same exact thing thinking you’re going to get a different result?  I believe we will pull through all of this, and at some point we will see a rebirth of humanity.
