I remember the day like it were yesterday. It was the first half of 2010.. and after completing a Biology degree only a few years prior….I had decided to make a one-eighty in my career path, and go back to school for Computer Science. After visiting my school of choice, which was roughly an hour from my mother’s house. I quickly applied and it didn’t take me long to be accepted. Before I knew it, I was attending orientation in a small auditorium wondering what this change would bring for me. Making such a career change was nerve racking, but I was committed to moving forward with the decision.
The school campus felt like it was nestled, in another world from the city it was apart of. It was surrounded by a wooded area and the living suites gave the feeling of being isolated from the main campus. Despite already having done the “living on campus” thing once, I decided to spend the first semester on campus. My thought process was, it would keep me focused on my work, and reduce my need to make the commute to class from nearly an hour away.
That being said, it didn’t take me long to get into a suite with three other students. We all had our own rooms, but shared a bathroom, living area, and small kitchen section. Even though I was a little older than my suite mates, we got along well. We all suffered the pain, of long nights working on programming assignments, which often lead to having colorful language directed at our computers. I had it a little bit easier, as I was able to transfer a lot of my general electives from my previous school, and avoid retaking similar classes.
What I didn’t know at first, was the campus had a good number of people who were interested in mysticism and the unknown. I even was asked to read Tarot once, while I was on campus. Additionally, I was told by other students that that there were people interested in Vampirism. I found this interesting, but had no interest in seeking out such experiences. Though, being sensitive to energy, I certainly could pick up on the vibe, not only on campus sometimes, but in the city itself.
I was told, there was a good number of “Psychic Vampires”, in the area. I even made friends with someone, who admitted that they agreed to be a donor for such a person. Despite all of this, the school was pretty normal. It was mostly a technology school, but did have other degree options as well. When I was there, they were also early in the process with forming a partnership with another school that had a huge nanotechnology program. One a side note, since my time at the school, the nanotech program has grown and has gotten a lot of attention.
It was during this time, that I was also doing a lot of research into extraterrestrials, meditation, and other esoteric topics. I actually had more than one otherworldly experience when I was attending the school.
I’ll share one now, since I’ve completed painting a general picture of the campus.
Always, after completing one of my CS exams, on one particularly stormy afternoon. I found myself making my way back to my room in a down pour. I was actually tired, and just wanted to rest. I walked down a small utility road, that quickly took me away from the view of the lecture halls, and into a small wooded area. Within a minute or so, I was looking at the quad area where the suites were. I moved quickly, making my way into my room, and drying myself off. At this point the rain picked up, and the thunder was profound.
Water ran off my window sill like a waterfall, making a loud splash as it hit the ground outside. My room mates were all present, conversing with each other. Although I didn’t know about what. I wasn’t overly concerned, because at this point I was rushing to just lay down, and that’s exactly what I did when I settled in.
It was sweet relief when I finally closed my door 80% of the way, and hit my pillow. It wasn’t long for me to start to drift off into a semi sleep state, that was probably more related to a good meditative state. During which I focused on all the sounds of the suite, but mostly the water pouring off my window sill. After about 90 minutes, something strange started to happen. My roommates conversation started to slow down profoundly, almost like someone hit the “slow mo” mode on a tape. What I noticed next, was the sound of the pouring water off the sill, was reduced to a “drip drip drip” even though I was still fully aware that storm was still ranging outside.
Before I could react, the energy in my room changed, and I felt a profound presence move next to my bed. Almost immediately, I heard a woman talking to me in my head. She had a strong energy, that came off like the character Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.
“Are you ready?” She asked. Surpassingly, I just thought back to her “Yes.” At which point I felt her reach into my body, and pull me from it. In an instance I was in another place. A place where colors and light were more profound. I actually felt like I was floating, staring down what appeared to be a long hallway, which was lined with many doors.
There was a small crack under underneath each, and I could see bright light flowing out of them. At the end of the hall a woman and older man were making their way towards me. They sped up, when I tried to enter one of the doors. When they reached me, I felt a buzzing sensation and an exchange of information. The experience didn’t last too long, and when it was over, I was overtaken by a free falling feeling. Eventually I hit my body with a pound smack, that launched me off my bed.
I immediately got up, and rushed out into the pouring rain to reflect. Astonished about what had just occurred. Little did I know, that this was only the beginning of more intense experiences, including me visiting a shining Oceanic city……….
